Where can I find Disney for…

The Kitchen

Up until recently, fans would have been hard pushed to find anything Disney other than children’s items or adult mugs. Now it seems most stores are doing something Disney related.

The Kitchen will be separated into three separate areas, Cooking, Tableware and Mugs.

Cooking

ShopDisney takes the lead for this, after a few years of trying the odd item for adults and kitchenware, Disney eats is a fully formed franchise that is seemingly doing well. Fans can pick up loads of different utensils to help them cook including a tin opener, various serving spoons, colander, bowls and food bag clips. The range all matches which is a great bonus and, as this is not the first range they have done, it seems this will be an ever growing field in the stores.

Tableware

This is where the market falls short for Disney, although the online store does stock Disney glasses these can be expensive. Currently they have a set of four straight glasses that features the Disney Villains. It is part of the Disneyland Paris range, so fans can ether grab them online – or – this is a perfect excuse to plan a trip to the parks.

As the years turns from a wet summer into winter, we will se more options come available. Already Shop Disney have released their Christmas plates, although these are plastic. The store has released quite a few bowls in it’s time and many of these are replaced every other month, currently, you can pick up some really funky bowls with the mouth shapes of various characters such as Stitch or Bulls eye.

Water bottles can be picked up at Typo.com. Stores are opening up across the company but Typo is starting to be quite prominent for Adult Disney fans. Along with the stationary, cushions and other little knick-knacks, they do some really neat metal water bottles. Designs change all the time and what you see in store will be slightly different from online, but expect a Mickey and Star Wars one in which ever.

Primark have done a nice set of Lion King Coasters and have done multiple different designs over the last few years. I am sure that this will continue, so if you haven’t managed to pick up a Lion King one then keep an eye out on up and coming ranges. They have also done matching Cookie Jars and mugs.

Mugs

Check out my articles about the best mugs in ShopDisney for more in depth look at the best mugs from there, but Disney is the best store to head to. Their mugs are getting more expensive but they are the best in terms of quality and variations. Other stores usually stick with the simple mug design but ShopDisney have various different shapes and sizes.

Fans can usually pick up various different princess, villains and Mickey and friends on mugs but other releases include Mr Toad and other anniversary sets, The Lion King and some nice sketchbook designs. Each month they release a Disney Wisdom range that includes a different mug. These are only available until sold out and usually go within the month they are released. The Best bet is to check your local store. Auagust’s release is a sweet Bambi Mug, whereas Septembers will feature Merlin from Sword in the Stone.

Primark have a nice range of mugs, these tend to be 3D. They have done plenty in the past with a host of different characters from The Genie and Buzz, to Mickey and Flounder. Fans can currently grab a Timone mug, as well as a plane shaped Lion King 2 piece set. You can always pick up Disney water bottles from Primark too, so for those who don’t drink hot drinks, there are other options.

Typo have some nice mugs but of the three stores mentioned so far, these are not the best. They are nice designs but are more reserved and often look fake. Which is a shame as they do some really nice ranges.

So, will you be heading out and re-designing your kitchen? Will there be any Disney merchandise appearing in your homes? Let me know and don’t forget to share loads of Pictures.
