September at Shop Disney

So, with quite a busy month of August for ShopDisney, will September prove to be just as busy? Lets take a look at the top 10 things to look out for in ShopDisney.

10 – Tiny Big Feet

With August’s release mere hours before the end of the month, many fans would be mistaken into thinking that September will have two releases. The Disney Dogs collection is really sweet, but what about September’s release? Fans will be able to pick up The Little Mermaid, which includes Founder, Ariel, Sebastian and Ursula.

9 – Christmas has arrived

Many people would say that September is too early to start thinking about Christmas, but with more people working on a budget and spacing out their Christmas shopping, people have already started. Personally, I would buy Disney Decorations all year round. September will be the month that we start to see some of the products arriving in store. Admittedly this will be later in the month and may start with the ornaments first. Online, fans can already pick up some of the ornaments but more will be released overtime. The new Christmas plates, tree skirt and tree toppers have already arrived.

8 – The Princess Charm Bracelet

This one may have gone under the radar for many fans, the bracelets have been done before but this was nearly a decade ago. The sweet bracelets come with a charm that usually has a different princess on the front. These are really sweet pocket money buys and most young princesses or princess fans would love the whole set. Fans can pick up the Rapunzel bracelet on 31st August but Septembers will be Moana.

7 – Purchase with purchase

As I write this, Disney currently offer a beach towel for £7.99 when you spend £10 or more. This will no doubt be replaced soon but with Plush being the most recent product on offer and the arrival of Frozen and Christmas Mickey and Minnies soon, the next product will most likely be a toy or mug.

8 – Sale

So, last month’s prediction of a sale before the end of August didn’t come true, but I did say that this could possibly be at the beginning of September. With the kids being back at school, it makes more sense to keep product at full price when they were off. With this being said, the fact that the towels have gone into a purchase with purchase offer usually means they are about to go into a sale. The end of summer sale usually sees products from early in the year plus summer ranges get greatly reduced. Fans should keep an eye on tees, swimwear, and products related to earlier releases in the year. I doubt this will include the Lion King, or Aladdin, but we may see a number of mugs, and plush.

5 – The Disney Wisdom Collection

With August’s release being so well co-ordinated and sweet, there should be big hope for Septembers. It comes as a great joy that it is Merlin from The Sword in the Stone. Merlin is one of those characters that epitomized Disney before the renaissance of the 1990s, before Belle, Ariel, Simba and the Genie took over.

The range is actually really cool and comes with the usual products. Although it can be said that these haven’t been as popular or talked about as the Mickey Memories, Merlin will disappear as a fan favourite. The rareity of this character on product will definitely be noticed and acted upon. This being said, fans can still pick up some of the older releases in selected stores. The Merlin and Mimm mug is adorable and it will be difficult not to want this.

4 - Disney Eats

This is a range that has built up[ over the last year or so and I am so grateful it has. Disney home wear hasn’t been ShopDisney’s strong point in the past but with the ever expanding range this is soon changing. My favourite items are the Can Opener, the Pizza tray and the Tea Towels. There is so much more to this range and it will only continue to grow. Plus with the winter nights slowly creeping up and baking becoming a nice hobby for Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas, this is the best time to pick them up.

3 – Winter Pjs

This is the time of year when Disney's clothes range changes from Shorts and tee shirts so long length Pjs, thicker jumpers for children and slippers. As the summer things will inevitably go into a sale, fans will see the winter ranges begin to creep in. Disney usually do this in two stages, the first will be generic sleepwear, fans will most likely see a Princess range, Mickey, Minnie and something for the boys (Most likely Marvel or Star Wars. Then as the months go on, fans will be an increase of sleepwear almost overnight, with more ranges added. These tend to stick to Princess, Minnie, Mickey, Tinkerbell, Winnie the Pooh, Star Wars, Marvel and some form of Pixar (Most likely Toy Story 4) These are the ones that will come with matching slippers, and dressing gowns.

2 – Decendants 3

The third installment isn’t due until the end of November, but Disney will want to see some of the products reach the stores for a chance to sell before the big releases of Maleficent 2, Frozen 2 and Star Wars. Fans will notice items arriving towards the end of the month.

1 – Dynamic Duos September Ornament

Those who read my posts will know how much I love this range. There have been some rarer chracters arrive over the last 12 months and September is set to be brilliant. It is so brilliant that I was in complete surprise when I saw the release. Balloo and Baghera from Disneys The Jungle Book will arrive on 21st September. They are online exclusives and with the countdown to Christmas beginning for many shoppers at the end of September, this may be snapped up quicker that previous releases. Augusts will still be availbale for a short while, so fans can also pick up Percy and Meeko from Pocahontas.

So that’s my top 10 things to watch out for at Shop Diseny. Do you have a release that you just can’t wait for? Is there something that you hope doesn’t sell out from the list above? Well let me know.
